FAQ

Our operating hours are 8:00 – 18:00 Monday to Friday and 08:00 – 14:00 on Saturdays.

We guarantee an individual pet cremation and that the mixing of remains will never happen. You can read our operating procedures here.

Costs will vary depending on the service you require and if you would like us to collect your pet. See our  prices for further info.

We will only accept cash and all major credit or debit cards.

Advance payment is required because we do not want to find ourselves having carried out a respectful cremation for a pet only to find afterwards the owners were not so respectful of the service we offered. We believe we offer the most trustworthy pet cremation service in Ireland today and operate with the transparency you need to pay with confidence.

Good question, check out our about us section or contact us for a chat.

At Resting Pets’ our mission is to remove the unknowns associated with the death of your pet. We understand that sometimes things just happen, and we want you to know that we are here to help. If you are experiencing the unexpected loss of a pet, we are available for an out of hours collection service. Out of hours collections are collections made at any stage outside of our operating hours which are 8:00 – 18:00 Monday to Friday and 08:00 – 14:00 on Saturdays. Out of hours collections will incur our standard collection and returns costs plus an additional call out fee. You are also more than welcome to bring your pet to us directly if you have the means to do so.

As a consumer you absolutely have the right to ask your vet for the details of the company they are  affiliated with for cremation. After all it is you that will be paying to have your pet cremated. If for whatever reason you are not happy with the service being offered by your vets’ affiliate company, then ask them to call Resting Pets or contact us directly yourself.

As both a consumer and a grieving pet owner it is important that you are well informed as to what will happen to your pet once they leave the vets’ practice. Remember that cremation is a service that will be offered to you by extension from your vet, so for your own peace of mind it is important to ask to speak directly with your vets’ affiliate company for pet cremation. You will need to ask:

  1. Will my pet receive an individual and dignified cremation?
  2. How can you guarantee they will?
  3. How will they be transported to your facility?
  4. How can you guarantee I will receive only my pets’ ashes back?

By asking this question you are looking for as much information as possible to make the distinction between an individual pet cremation and communal animal disposal.

The following link tells a recent story of how important it is for you to be informed:

We offer a fully transparent service that gives you as much access to the process as you feel comfortable with. Please check out how we operate page further info

If you have chosen our Priority Individual Cremation and Return you are free to say goodbye to  your pet in our special goodbye room. However, neither our insurance nor operating licence allows for members of the public to enter our cremation room.

No problem, we will treat your pet with the same level of respect we would any other and safely handle your pets’ remains after cremation.
